TabTrade Review - The Good and the Catch

The Broker - The Short Version

TabTrade went live in Q1 2026. Online broker based in Saint Lucia, licensed through the Financial Services Regulatory Authority. The person who started it is Benjamin Boulter. Before this, he was a senior exec at BlackBull Markets, a well-known broker.

His background matters. It means the founder knows how a proper broker operates. Does not guarantee anything. But better than a founder with no industry background.

The broker opened with Equinix LD4/LD5 connectivity. Same data centres prime brokers run on. Most new brokers leads with marketing and bonuses. Tab Trade did the opposite. Unusual for a new broker.

The instrument list: FX, indices, metals, commodities, shares, cryptocurrencies, exchange-traded funds. 1,000+. For a broker this new, that coverage is not narrow.

What You Trade On

You get: MetaTrader 5, cTrader, and web trading. Both MT5 and cTrader from a single account. Most brokers commit to either MT5 or cTrader. Getting both makes a difference. Pick what suits your style.

MT5 is what most people know. Complete charts, EAs, huge user base. If you know MetaTrader before, you know exactly what you are getting.

cTrader by Spotware is the alternative. Better depth of market. More responsive charts. Built-in algo trading. Plenty of traders find it more natural after using both.

Direct FIX connectivity is available for bots but needs the VIP tier ($25,000 to open). TradingView charting is apparently on the roadmap. That would make the platform set when it arrives.

What You Pay

Three account types: Standard, Edge, VIP.

Standard account. Spreads from 1.0 pips. Commission-free. Easy to track. No minimum deposit. Works for people who want simple pricing.

Edge account. Raw spreads from 0.0 pips average. Flat commission of $3.50 each way. All-in: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On liquid pairs, the raw spread is often below 0.2 pips. Meaning your all-in cost can sit under half a pip. That is cheap for a broker with no minimum deposit. Most brokers that have spreads this tight ask for $500 or $1,000 upfront. TabTrade does not.

VIP. $25k to open. FIX connectivity, execution under 20ms, negotiated fees. Not for most retail traders. Skip it unless you trade institutionally.

How Fast Are the Fills

The execution is the area where Tab Trade stands apart. Equinix servers in London. Execution below 30 milliseconds on Edge. Below 20ms on VIP. That is not marketing fluff. The average platform operate at a much wider range.

Does it matter? If you scalp, yes. The difference between fast execution and sluggish execution is profit or loss on tight trades. If you trade higher timeframes, you probably will not feel it. What matters is they invested in proper execution. That says what kind of broker this is.

Combine that execution speed with the Edge account pricing and the overall offering is strong. Not many platforms at this price point run Equinix connectivity.

Safety

This is the thing you need to be straight about. Tab Trade is under Saint Lucia's FSRA. That is offshore. No ASIC. No fund protection scheme. If the lack of tier-1 regulation is a dealbreaker, stop reading. Lots of ASIC-licensed brokers out there.

But. The person running it built his career at BlackBull Markets, an FMA-regulated broker. The execution setup is not cheap. Scam brokers do not invest in proper execution infrastructure. None of this guarantee anything. It does be part of your decision.

The deal: you trade regulatory safety. For that: high leverage, cheap spreads, $0 to start, fast fills. Whether this deal works depends on you.

Deposit Bonus

TabTrade runs a welcome bonus of up to $2,000. Typical welcome offer. You fund your account, they credit extra capital. The normal fine print: minimum lots traded before bonus funds can be taken out. Review the fine print before funding.

Everything in one place, with the full fee table, get more info withdrawal policies, and regulatory details, tab trade review is at Trade The Day.
